The Dorade team is getting to work before the weather turns too cold. The 52-foot yawl's masts and booms have been taped down and undergone three coats of varnish. Stay tuned for more updates from the shipyard.

Dorade is preparing for the winter at Loughborough Marine Interests in Portsmouth, R.I. The 52-foot yawl had its masts taken out and will get a few coats of varnish before being stored. Here is Dorade after two weeks of interior varnish work. The team is now starting on the final assembly of the interior, which includes re-fastening all door hinges and installing new original design latches.

The Dorade team has completed the interior varnish – except for all the doors – on the 52-foot yawl. The doors are offsite having the varnish done on both sides. This week the doors as well as a few new latches will be installed onboard.

Raz and Nick appear to be quite happy that Dorade's main mast has been safely delivered from winter maintenance to Jen Lange's Baltic  Boat Works. One of the few dry, sunny days that we've had lately in Rhode Island.  Still chilly, as you can probably tell!
