Matt and Pam attended the Bermuda Race prize giving ceremony at a most spectacular setting — high on a hill overlooking the water at Bermuda’s Government House — where Dorade placed second in the Team rankings of the Onion Patch Series , together with fellow NYYC Blue team members Stark Raving Mad and Temptation. The team was leading the Series by a wide margin coming into the final event — Friday’s Royal Bermuda Yacht Club Anniversary Regatta — when Temptation pulled out of the race entirely, electing to head back to its home port to avoid a hurricane making its way up the eastern seaboard. By pulling out of the race, Temptation was slammed with the maximum number of points — 24 — pulling the team down into second place, despite a good showing by both Dorade and Stark Raving Mad. Still, we walked away with a very nice set of crystal glassware — and in two years we’ll be back for the first place decanter to go with them!
