Dorade arrived safely in Rockland, Maine this past Friday and heads to Castine tomorrow morning where it will prepare for the seventeenth annual Castine Classic Yacht Race, which kicks off August 4. The 20 nautical-mile race to Camden feeds into the Camden to Brooklin race on August 5 and the Eggemoggin Reach Regatta on August 6, all of which Dorade will be participating in.
This year’s Castine Classic Yacht Regatta, sponsored by the Castine Yacht Club, will honor both Dorade and another famous yacht, America. Both yachts will be on exhibition at the Castine Town Dock starting at noon on Wednesday, August 3.
