A full mock up of the galley and nav area has been completed in order to get a feel for the layout of and flow between the port and starboard components of the aft cabin. The joiner work will be completed off site and installed fully varnished. Joe is keeping a keen eye on weight savings. Additional removable panels not shown will allow access to engine space and port side cockpit storage. The outside mold of the refrigerator and freezer has been installed. The inside mold will be installed over foam insulation then lined with pewter. The counter top surfaces of the gallery area will be finished in a thin seamless bronze plate that incorporates the sink. The nav station will boast twin B and G chart plotters. A state of the art VHF and the handset for the fleet broadband sat phone will be installed alongside the plotters. The nav table is large enough for a full size paper chart. A two burner Taylor kerosene stove is on order. Sorry no coal hopper for all you true “originalists”. Note the pigeon holes for a full set of signal flags.
