We have made some really good strides on upwind speed in 16-22 knots. I think the combination of the overlapping #2 and the Full main with no mizzen in 16 is a great set up.

The #2 and the reefed main will probably be the right mode for 20, as we saw in the first day on the first beat. We have not had a chance to go without the mizzen in that condition yet, but I think that we now know that with the “new” weather helm that Dorade has, the mizzen isn’t as important upwind as it was it was prior to the new rudder.

Dorade scored as 6th overall in the series and 7th in the regatta itself. They combined two divisions to form one classic division.
