Dorade kicks off its 2016 racing season tomorrow with the NYYC Annual Regatta presented by Rolex. The boat is one of more than 150 expected to compete. The event will feature a race around Conanicut Island on Friday, followed by two days of buoy racing, all of which will take place on Narragansett Bay and Rhode Island Sound. The team has been practicing off Newport, R.I. since Wednesday to prepare for the competition.
The last time that Dorade competed in the regatta was in 2012, and the team took home second place in the Classics Class in the event’s “Around The Island” Race.
