We are coming up on 5 days of racing, and this morning is a big morning for Dorade. We still have over 1300 miles to go, and a lot of racing left, but at this very moment, Dorade is queen of the sea. We have moved into first place in class, and first overall. It will be a monumental task to maintain this position for the remainder of the race, but we will endeavor to do so. We have sailed 890 nautical miles and we have roughly 1300 to go. We have been averaging about 8.5 knots with about 12-17 knots of wind speed. We have finally passed Westward in the late hours of last night, and now we are stretching our lead on her. All is well, spirits are high. We push on.
