We are coming up on 7 days of racing, and this morning we are still first place in class, and have moved up to 12th overall. The slow-down for the fleet has arrived as expected, but is affecting them less than hoped for, so the future is still uncertain. We will know more by tomorrow morning in terms of how badly they will be affected. We have 760 miles to go for the finish, and we have a predicted arrival time of Saturday morning. We have been averaging about 8.5 knots with about 12-17 knots of wind speed. All is well, spirits are high. We agerly await the news of how the weather will affect the fleet behind us, and in the meantime, we push aggressively towards the finish, gybing on every shift. We push on.
