Tomorrow, Dorade will compete in the 43rd Annual Yesteryear Regatta, hosted by the Ancient Mariners Sailing Society, on San Diego Bay. This is the 52-foot yawl’s first time competing in the regatta and it will go up against a number of other storied classic yachts, including fellow Sparkman & Stephens Orient, which was launched in 1938, eight years after Dorade.
