The many, many tasks to ready Dorade for its move across the county are almost countless. Today the carpenter, Dan, is working on splash boards to protect the hull during its transit. These boards will be mounted on the shipping cradle. They should be painted this afternoon.

Syd, the welder, continues to work like crazy on the cradle. Not possible to do any painting of he cradle while welding is taking place so that will likely not happen until Monday.

Dorade’s hull is getting sanded and readied fro a new anti-fouled paint application today or tomorrow. At the same time, the prop is being changed from the two bladed racing prop to for the 3 bladed cruising prop. The cutlass bearing is also being serviced at the same time.

A tool was dropped on one of the butterfly hatch glass panes, which cracked and how being replaced.

Regardless of all of these distractions, the main focus is the shipping cradle. There is always a few other things that need to get going with.
