Percy Chubb Prize Trophy

In July 1931, Olin Stephens was awarded the Percy Chubb Prize as the winning the Corinthian Navigator of Dorade in the 1930 Transatlantic Race from Newport, Rhode Island, USA to Plymouth, England in 17 days, 14 minutes and 40 seconds.

Percy Chubb Prize consisted of a Plath sextant in a wood storage box with a brass plaque commemorating the award.

The Plath sextant mysteriously disappeared was stolen from Olin’s house in Scarsdale, New York many years ago.

The Percy Chubb Prize Trophy has been recreated and returned to Dorade.
