We are getting close to that critical ‘one month to go’ point. The decks are in the final stages of sanding, the bottom is all faired and ready for painting and the topside paintwork is prepped ready for re spray in damaged areas. Last week also saw the arrival of the interior parts for the new container fit out.
Peyton has been a big help to Nick in prepping for paint and varnish work allowing him to really crack on with giving Dorade a fresh new look and Shea has been hard at work re wiring and upgrading our electronics package.
The first Dorade team build event is all organised which will see original crew and the new transatlantic team sailing together for the first time. We hope that this event will make the first on the water practice a big success.
So it’s time to step it up to the next gear and push hard to get back out on the water. Now if only it would warm up enough to melt the ice that is out there…
