Never mind the turquoise water!
This post is for Paul, the gentleman building a scale model of DORADE for the SFYC. Paul spent a good bit of time on the phone trying to convince me that these pins were here on the rail at the mizzen last fall. Well, with credit to Tom at MHBW for the installation, and Luke for the beautifully turned pins, I can assure you that these are a new addition. And a handy one indeed! A good place to lash the tackle for the mainsheet traveller, or to lead the mizzen sheet downwind when the sheet winch is occupied by the mizzen staysail halyard. To Paul’s credit, DORADE did have these prior to the Italian cap rail replacement in the 90’s.
