We have been working with Phip at Rig Pro on testing various materials and thicknesses for the new mast hardware. Sample tangs are pulled to 8000 pounds stopping every 2000 pounds to measure hole elongation. All recorded data has been forwarded to Greg for evaluation. The keel joint had been packed with epoxy and was cracked it's whole length. Epoxy has been reefed out and the lead to wood joint has been properly addressed to prevent leaking and biological intrusion.
